Lolani SBS is a 37 year old fetish model from the West Midlands who has a passion for BDSM and is strongly opposed to censorship within the media.
This venturesome young lady began modelling at the sweet age 0f 18 when she entered a competition in the Sports newspaper and won. She was then headhunted by a modelling agency and worked for many high profile companies across the globe. A stint as a pole dance gave her the sense of freedom and empowerment that she desired, but she never felt fully satisfied deep within until she discovered and embraced the world of fetish. Read about how this gorgeous and versatile model turned to kinky delights to get her kicks.
Hey Lolani, thank you for taking time to do an interview with uk-fetish, I’m sure the readers are going to love you! Can you tell me – what first drew you to fetish and how did you get into it?
I picked up an erotica book to read one day and it had BDSM scenes in it which really turned me on. After many years reading about it I started trying mild things like spanking. I got into it around 3 years ago after I noticed a friend wearing a collar and questioned her in regards to how I could get involved. She advised me about Fetlife and my journey started there.
Sounds like serendipity! Would you say that you are naturally sub in your private life too?
Yes I am naturally submissive in my nature.
I think there are a lot of people out there would love to try fetish but are not sure where to start….What tips would you give to others who want to experiment with fetish and be submissive?
Join a site like Fetlife and read all you can about things that interest you, talk with people who have similar interests. Ensure you read up on protocol before attending munches and events. Meet people in the safe environment of the many munches and make friends then attend some events that friends you have made are going.
Good advice Lolani. What’s the best thing about being a fetish model?
I love so many things I love about being a BDSM model, but the thing I love the most is that I truly enjoy myself whilst I shoot and often get to experiment with new practices I haven’t done before.
It sounds like you have a lot of fun – and you have worked for a lot of fetish companies too, including more extreme fetish producers such as Shadow Slaves. Do you get off on the pain? Is there a technique you use for switching off and getting into it?
Pain produces endorphins and other chemicals in the body which can help bring you to a very relaxed headspace. I use that, breathing techniques, communication and trust in the Dom mainly.
Yes trust is so important. What’s the most extreme thing you’ve done?
I had a steel bikini removed by a metal grinder
Wow – I bet sparks were flying but that sounds awesome! You must get lots of unusual requests from fans – what are some of the strangest?
My fans are amazing and I rarely get unusual requests. One I do recall asked if I would run a gentleman’s genitalia over with my car. Of course I said NO
Eeek, that could seriously mess up your paintwork! What’s the funniest thing that’s happened when you have been on set?
We don’t tend to have many bloopers as the sets are very well thought through, but if there is scenes with gaping involved then the air has to escape which always causes me to giggle.
Have you ever felt uncomfortable on a shoot or have you had to say no?
No I have never felt uncomfortable. I have clear plans prior to the shoot of what we will do and safe words are always able to be used which will stop whatever is happening immediately. Safety is paramount with BDSM on or off set.
I imagine there must be a lot of younger models wanting to get into fetish that look up to you as a role model. What advice would you give them if they wanted to become a fetish model and what are some safety precautions they can take?
Know your limits and stick to them. Always check references and communicate regularly with who you will be shooting with. If possible meet in person in a populated place prior to the shoot and listen to your instincts.
What is your absolute favourite fetish or role play game and why?
I love impact play most as I feel very empowered after, knowing I can take the levels of pain and not break makes me feel mentally strong and I also love the reminder of the play when you see or feel the marks left afterwards.
Do you feel that the adult and fetish industry should have more procedures in place to safeguard performer health?
We do all we can to safeguard performers health and models have to take responsibility for their own health as any other human being has to.
That’s a very valid point that models should take responsibility too for their own welfare and something many don’t consider. How do you feel about censorship and bodies such as Atvod and Ofcom prohibiting certain genres of fetish?
We all have different likes, interests, wants and needs in life not just with fetishes. I think as long as it is between consenting adults then it is nobody else’s business and they have no right to stop people being themselves. So many things that were once upon a time censored and ridiculed are now perfectly acceptable in society. This country is well known for how prudish it is and I think all this will achieve is to force the practices underground which makes safety a much bigger problem.
If the Digital Economy bill goes ahead I will be forced to move to a country where people’s freedom is still respected. Hopefully this petition https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/174167 will get enough signatures to ensure this bill does not go through. The UK economy will be drastically affected if our government make this bill happen in my opinion.
It does seem that if this bill goes through it will effect many of the population with an interest in fetish – so where do you see yourself in ten years?
I will still be submissive and I will continue with BDSM modelling for as long as I can and wherever I have to go to be allowed to enjoy and share this wonderful lifestyle.
