I’ve also had a passion for drama, creativity and acting and often my work is a great outlet for this. Often I am asked by my slaves to come up with a role play scenario for them, which I of course do. Depending on what kind of role I am taking on I will adapt my character. I’ll even go as far as creating a back story for my character in my head. Once I have a role such as ‘police woman’ or ‘school girl bully’ I think of their motivation. So a police woman for example, even though she is acting bad and unlawfully in the role play, she will convince herself that she is merely serving justice so will justify her excessive actions. She will always have an answer as to why the ‘criminal’ is wrong and why her behaviour (however immoral) is just as in her mind she is enforcing the law and vengeance is merely an extension of that.
The character of a school girl bully may feel weak and vulnerable herself and may be bullied at home. Therefore bullying another is her attempt to control her own weakness and raise her self esteem by belittling and hurting others. She will react different to my other characters. For example if a slave completes a task incorrectly, too slowly or without enough enthusiasm she may suffer an outburst. She will feel like she is losing control of the situation and will shout and have a tantrum until she gets her own way and feels in control again. This would differ from the head Mistress who would calmly correct the sub in a condescending manner that would humiliate him or the army sergeant who would feel that the sub was incompetent, in need of more training and would insist he do it over and over again until he get it right. His success would be her reward, that her persistence got results and he learned the lesson. This is very different from the need for power that the school girl would possess.
I wonder if my slaves and subs are aware of all these different motivations and possibilities for different characters or if they just expect only the outfit to be different. I would love to hear your thoughts on this!
Tonight I played a bratty princess which is my absolutely favourite role to enjoyI decided my bratty Princess is motivated by mainly 2 things: Boredom and control. She has everything she wants in life but feels suffocated by the traditions and rules that her life must follow. She can’t just go out and enjoy herself like other girls so must find other ways to entertain herself. My Princess was very bored today so to amuse herself she decided to make her new jester her plaything. Unfortunately for the jester the Princess grows bored very quickly. She is impatient, impulsive and always in search of new ways to entertain herself. She is a little narcissistic and enjoys having her every whim carried out however much it troubles her servant. Princess is not able to control her own life. Oh no it has already been decided for her what path she must take, whom she must marry and what she must wear. So she enjoys controlling her servant down to the most minute detail and micro-manages his every move. Whereas the Head Mistress (role play) may say take down your pants, explain why someone has been naughty and spank them to correct their behaviour, the Princess will break down the motion into tiny movements. For example “Step forward two paces” PAUSE “Lower your pants” PAUSE “I’m going to give you precisely 7 slaps” Princess gives 6 slaps “I’m bored of that. It doesn’t interest me enough. To compensate for not interesting me enough I will need to punish your balls”. Princess is also a victim to her whims and suffers perpetual boredom. Nothing ever fascinates her for long enough and whilst this makes her a thrilling and exciting Mistress, it can also make her very unpredictable…but hey! Isn’t that just half the fun!
The Head Mistress is perhaps a little more predictable and a safer role play for new subs. The prison ward will most likely have sadistic tendencies and thoroughly get off on them (in my role plays at least!) This is not about justice, this is purely about her narcissistic and sadist pleasures! The school girls motivations are about self esteem. By being the bully she no longer feels like the victim.
These are some of my favourite role plays. Of course I do love a good old super villain role play! My super villains are usually meglo-maniacs and their displays of abuse are more about keeping face. They must show how dastardly and villainish they are or they won’t be taken seriously! If you can’t convince your victim that you are to be feared then however are you going to take over the world at midnight?!
Another role play game that I get asked to play a lot is a bitchy boss scenario in which she calls her employee into her office and demands that he be subjected to abuse if he is to keep his job. The Boss is a little similar to the villain, as to an extent she wants to keep face. Often the slave will want to think that his boss’s abusive behaviour is down to her being so ridiculously attracted to him that she wants to own him! Of course in my mind, the sexuality she expresses is not in fact desire but instead a way of controlling a man by using her sexuality. She has learnt that she can use sex appeal to get ahead in a male dominated world and is convinced that this is the way to reign superior. There may be frustrations in her life. She may feel resentment towards the male sex because as a female she has had to strive harder than her male counterparts to succeed and to an extent she feels she must put on a hard outer shell to be taken seriously in a male heavy environment. Perhaps she has even come to a point whereby she fears her success being snatched from her grasp and therefore must show that she is prepared to break anyone that poses a threat to her success.
These are the little details that allows me get inside my characters heads and decide how they would act, what they would say and whether they will use subtleties or extreme behaviour and whether they will be consistent or unpredictable. Lets face it, in a role play predictability is boring, so giving the characters a little extra dimension such as a personality disorder, problems at home or a phobia will ensure the character never gets boring!
You might be thinking “Bloody hell Kaz, it’s just a role play!” but is it? It’s also a creative outlet that motivates and helps me create in other areas of my life. It also teaches me a lot about people – the way they react to what I do and say. For my slaves who I role play with, it is pure escapism and often a fulfilment of their fantasies. So to them it’s extremely important as well.
The best role plays for me are when it comes to an end and I find myself doing or saying a few things still in character (even to other people!) It shows me that I have embraced the character and feel like she is another aspect of me…at least for a short time. When a role play goes particularly well it can leave me on a natural high for the entire day!
Of course it’s nothing like acting on a film set (in my experience at least). On set you generally have a script and a director to lead the way. Or if you are improvving then you have someone to bounce off of. In some ways, role playing with a sub can be harder if they are passive and not the responsive kind. Sometimes they will not wish to speak just to follow orders so you will not only have to read them but also plan out the entire scenario with minimal feedback. Whilst in the beginning this used to bother me a little, along the way I realised what a great opportunity it really is. If the sub wants you to make all the decisions then you are the director of you very own show. You cam create any scenario and take it anywhere you like. Your imagination can wander and you get the directors cut! It makes for a wonderful challenge!
